Henry moves to AC Horsens

HenryDoneil Henry has joined Danish Superliga club AC Horsens on a season-long loan. The 23-year-old centre-half will link up with the Jutland-based club when he returns from international duty with Canada.

Henry will gain more valuable first-team experience with The Yellow Danger, having previously made 93 appearances for MLS club Toronto FC and spent two spells on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers. His West Ham debut came in a UEFA Europa League tie with Astra Giurgiu in August 2015. The Brampton-born player suffered a leg injury during West Ham’s US Tour in July but has returned to fitness in time for two vital 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers away to Honduras and home to El Salvador.

Horsens were promoted from the First Division last season and have made a decent start to life in the top flight under the management of former Bristol Rovers striker Bo Henriksen, sitting sixth after seven matches.
