Max Kilman’s new West Ham contract is a whopping seven-year deal which would keep the defender in East London until he is 34.

Whilst the club has not yet revealed the full details of the contract, it’s fair to assume that at least one of those seven years will be an option. This would be in keeping with West Ham’s usual policy of tying players down for a set amount of time with an option to be implemented at the end of the contract at the club’s discretion.

Kurt Zouma currently has one year remaining on his current Hammers deal; however, the club are unlikely to exercise the option of an extension in this instance.

Max Kilman’s new Hammers deal is not believed to have any buyout or sell-on clauses included. Wolverhampton Wanderers will receive their £40 million pound transfer fee for the player over five years, with the 4 million pound commission going to Kilman’s former club, Maidenhead.

The Berkshire club, which is managed to by former West Ham legend Alan Devonshire, were initially expecting an £8 million pound windfall. Unfortunately this was negotiated down by Wolves as they attempted to complete the sale of their former captain.

This is a good start but we need to be proactive and sign another Centre back and a couple of wing backs! We also need a striker and a Centre midfielder as well.Fofana is a must as would be Johnathon David upfront.walker-peters or wan Bissaka at left back and Todibo at Centre back hopefully!!! COYI

Probably on a long contract so he still has some sell on value in a year or 2. We should be tying all our best players down to long contracts, and keep the release clauses out

That is one helluva contract probably one of the biggest in the clubs history i hope the player is a big success and this is one of the first steps in what is going to be a very different season for us this season
