Hernandez hits Irons with wage stunner!

HernExclusive

Hopes that Javier Hernandez will arrive as West Ham’s latest signing have been savaged by the Mexican’s extraordinary wage demands.

With various media outlets currently claiming his next destination is either the Boleyn or Bayer Leverkusen, Hernandez looks to have priced himself out of a move to the east end.

The Manchester United player – having finally been made available by Reds boss Louis Van Gaal – has doubled his wage demands since the Hammers first showed their hand a few weeks ago.

ClaretandHugh has learned exclusively that figures of around £65k a week were on the table and looking agreeable but that in the latest round of talks “the numbers have gone crazy” to quote a highly placed source.

We have been reliably informed that the player now wants a £130k a week plus goal bonuses of between £50k to £80k.

And unless Hernandez and his agents take a massive reality check before the transfer window closes the club’s No 1 target will not be arriving at the Boleyn.

Meanwhile, we were told the Irons are holding what was described as “a partial interest” in Hull City’s Nikica Jelavić.

  1. Figures so exclusive they have been up on other sites for a couple of hours 🙂

Anyway, we knew he would want big money to drop down a level, so perhaps this finally puts this one to bed and we concentrate on someone a bit more within our means.

  2. Is someone leaking these so called Exclusive Figures for a reason? will it next be he has no ligaments?

  3. Dont really see it as such a shock that he should want wages like that, thought it was pretty obvious he would want something around that mark.

  4. I’ve read that he’s off to Bayern Leverkeusen – that wage demand is ridiculous!

When I saw him play for Real Madrid last season he didn’t impress – move on!

  5. Time are owners realised if you want a top player you have to pay top wonga. We all know our entire transfer budget was 25 million. And with that we are buying ten or more players? Spuds just spent the same on one striker and people are making excuses for them saying they can’t afford top players now because of the cost of their new stadium? We are getting our new stadium for free – ish. So why are we not spending more on players? Is it because a) we think have all the players we need already with Carroll zarate due back soon? B) we are trying to get rid of debt before move to new stadium? Or c) we are saving money so we can bring in a top player or two in jan transfer window should we need to? Or d) something else.

  6. If these figures are true, he has priced himself out of the market. He is a good player, but hasn’t done much recently – certainly not enough to justify silly money.

    We need to move on.

He won’t – he’ll be stuck on the Manure bench.

  7. Can we move on from this mercenary. Under no circumstances should we buy this clown, he does not even suit our style. I am amazed that Bilic is even considering him. Trust me – I told you Jenks was a waste of money and I am telling you the same here. I would take Adebayor on loan than waster 10m + 130K of our fans money. Moses is the player I would love to see come…

    • LOL mercenary, guy has signed for 2 clubs in his entire career.

Oh and yeah we get it, you don’t rate Jenks, you made that clear the first 12 times you said it…

    • I’m with you Johnam1, Moses is the player we most need, listening to Bilic’s post match interview he states that we need a certain type of attacker who can go past players when the oppo park their bus at our place.

Think we may see quite a few transfers actually, I predict five in total.
      But not all inbound though”……….

  8. At what time, though, do we start paying big wages for big players? If our stated goal is eventual Champions League in the next 5 years or se, then we ain’t going far paying what amounts to meager these days of 80-90k. At some point, we bring a high earner or two on.

Even MLS players can earn more.

  9. Doesn’t warrant that kind of money !!!
He missed 2 sitters and a penalty lately !!!
He never was coming here it’s just talk ?
Lanzini is getting match fit and could do a job up front if yesterdays performance is anything to go by,
We are scoring goals for fun at the moment and with za rate and carol back soon I don’t
see the Dave’s breaking the bank,
Two more day’s and it’s game on , signings or not !!
Sign song , he is a priority , if he goes to the Spud’s there will be murders !!!!! Lol.
    Two more day’s !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • song wont go to spurs due to his respect to Arsenal. He has said that already – he also wants to stay in london but wants 80k

  10. We do not have a problem scoring goals , our total of 9 is second only to Man City’s 10.
We have shown at the Emirates and now Anfield that the defenders can do the job once
the team gels together . With the international break we have time to get a couple back
playing again Zarate , Carrol . Don’t panic buy now and restrengthen in January if the
    need arises .

  11. Someone wake me up on Wednesday morning.

Sorry DG, but I will be going to bed.

  12. For what we need (an experienced good back-up) jelavic would be a better option.
Slav has built the team around a potent midfield and, now our defence has shaken out the cobwebs, it is working.
I have said for weeks that buying an expensive striker never seemed on the radar and now, more and more are coming to the same conclusion.

  13. We may not need to sign big earners !!
Not yet anyway ! Maybe next year in the OS once some stability and bilic’s game plan
comes into play. We have a good squad of players senior and youngsters and if Bilic and dicksy can bring the kids through we may only need to buy a couple of wide players and a
Couple of mid fielders , only if needed !!!!
The 2 performances away from home against 2 so called big guns should tell us we are heading in the right direction and let’s get it right they were huge wins .
We have no need to panic buy , the team is coming along nicely , we are getting our west ham back and it feels great ,

Signings or not , in Bilic I trust to get around it .
    COYI!!!!! I’m proud again .

  14. Yep we dont need another decent striker,we have Carroll coming back, hahaha, yeah sure.Dont all cry too much when he gets injured again & we have Jelevic plodding around for the rest of the season.Carroll,Sakho, our two recognized strikers, both have had injury issues.Get the tissues ready, you will need them!!!

  15. True or False ;; too many deals gave fallen through as it us .. If true , then he is a greedy non- realistic Mexican ,, if False , then there is a Lier in the circuit somewhere .
Manchester United has told him to go , basically . He was not worth the wages , then , so why should he be worth that kind of wage now ??
He is a good Player , so the question should be ; why are Manchester United prepared to throw him on the rubbish pile ., you don’t throw away good players without a reason .
A bit like West Ham letting Downing go .

  16. Downing wanted to go back to Boro,he has signed a lucrative deal there considering his age.He has proved both when he left us & Liverpool he just bleats once he has gone.As for Hernandez,it dont make you a bad player just because you cant get in a top four team. They have the cream of the crop playing for them.Engage your brain Mr.BILIC OUT man.

  17. To sit on the bench £50 million at the most,
Maybe he would prefer to play in Denmark it’s nice there to good to come and play for little old us,
Shame on MOM saying dropping down a level he is not going to Liverpool or Arsenal,
And we could have offered him a part in Krays to the Mexican cartel and did we tell him
    About our new stadium ?
    Come on Nico

  18. If this is true I can’t imagine bayern lev would pay him that sort of wage. Also didn’t jelavic missed most of last season with injury. Just the type of signing we could do with lol. Load of cobblers.

  19. Or negotiate a base, less than what he wants…and give him a cr4p-tonne for each goal he scores.
