Hernandez Turkish update

|

Javier Hernandez will not be leaving for Turkey or anywhere else this winter despite widespread rumours that he will be on the move in January.

The speculation first arose a couple of weeks back with Turkish sources claiming  a deal was on and they appeared to escalate this morning when  Fanatik said Besiktas could offer Hernandez a way out, as they are prepared to fly representatives to London in December to finalise a deal.

Turkish reports added that Besiktas’ initial discussions with the Hammers went well over the switch and that the Turkish club are claimed to have offered to take him on loan for the rest of the season for a £1m fee.

However, when we checked it out with senior sources at West Ham we were told over the ‘phone that there had been “absolutely no contact” with anybody and the club would not be allowing the player to move on anyway.

Our source said: ” We’d not loan Hernandez as he is our immediate back up and we’d need to sign a replacement.”
