West Ham playmaker Lucas Paqueta met up with his teammates and Julen Lopetegui yesterday following his journey from Brazil.
The Brazilian midfielder returned to Hammers duty after enjoying an extended break following his impressive appearances for Brazil at the 2024 Copa América and was welcomed to the team hotel by a gaggle of fellow players and most importantly his new boss.
Clearly, everyone was delighted to see Paqueta back as he indulged in a round of back-slapping, fist bumps, and hugs all around.
This was the first time the Brazilian has met Lopetegui as his West Ham head coach, but the pair have been in regular contact on the phone. Tim Steidten also made a trip to visit Paqueta in his South American home as everyone at the club has been doing their utmost to welcome him back into the Hammers fold.
Paqueta is expected to feature at some point in Saturday’s friendly pre-season match against Crystal Palace.
Happy days..the suns out the sky is blue the pool is welcoming and now Pacmans back ahhhh sometimes it’s good to be alive and a hammers fan COYI
Sure does! A few comments on here recently bemoaning the lack of movement by our club in the transfer market. Now look at what’s potentially happening over the last 24hrs! I always said it, we have to be patient. Super Tim knows his onions, and sure does know his way around the transfer market! Summerville, Wan Bisaka and Fullkrug, all at very decent prices! Hopefully a new central defender will be brought in and we will be good to go. In super Tim we must trust!!! COYI
I’m dog tired. Mr Jingles isn’t around anymore 🥹
The playing style this season should suit Paqueta. Paqueta, Bowen, Kudus, Summerville, Fullkrug looks dangerous to me.
You remind me of a lamp noodle
Let’s get it started!!!!! C.o.y.i.
