West Ham United‘s young prospect, George Earthy, is making the most of his opportunity to train with the first team during their pre-season camp in Austria. Earthy spoke about his experience, personal ambitions, and the club’s potential goals for the upcoming season with the West Ham official site.
It has been heartening to see Earthy featuring so prominently in every piece of footage West Ham have released from the training camp and from Rush Green previously.
He has found the experience in Austria invaluable. Training alongside established players allows him to absorb valuable knowledge and develop his professional habits, he described the atmosphere as “enjoyable” and the environment as “different” but positive.
With a new manager at the helm in Julen Lopetegui, Earthy recognises this as a chance to showcase his skills. He emphasised the importance of making a strong initial impression during those first training sessions.
Earthy said, “It’s a good opportunity to impress the new manager and show him exactly what I’ve got, I’m buzzing to be out here”.
Earthy’s primary goal is clear: to secure as much playing time as possible for the West Ham first team this season. He expresses his desire to be consistently involved and contribute to the team’s success.
While Earthy doesn’t explicitly mention the club’s goals, his focus on impressing the new manager suggests West Ham has high aspirations for the upcoming season. Lopetegui’s arrival likely brings renewed motivation and a push for significant improvement.
From what I’ve seen George is better than Mainoo he just didn’t get a 1st team chance under Moyes . That movement to score his 1st goal shows he’s a natural. Cannot wait to see him explode next season.
So good that there is life after MOYES. Bring the young talent through.
First eleven could be areola wan bissaka kilman Todibo walker-peters Alvarez paqueta earthy Bowen Duran kudus. Champions league here we come !!!! COYI
What a breath of fresh air now at west ham? Now we’ve got rid of all the negativity surrounding the place! Hopefully Lopetegui and steinden work their magic and bring WEST HAM UNITED the success the club truly deserves this season COYI
He’s as in the mix as any in recent times, worth a squad place and the rest is up to him.
Go on George. Nothing better than one of our own in the first team.
Wonderful news that George and any other young players are blossoming under Loren, as indeed may other outcasts under Moyes, Cornet for example? Optimistic now for the season!
