New ‘Union Jack’ away kit to be unveiled this week

|

AwaykitWest Ham are set to unveil their new 2015-16 season away kit this week – ahead of the second round Europa League clash against Birkirkara.

The new-look strip is understood to be heavily influenced by the historic ‘Union Jack’ design, which was worn between 1901-03 – when Queen Victoria and King Edward VII were on the throne! It features a light blue short with single claret chest hoop, white shorts with claret side stripes, and claret socks.

Our illustration is (hopefully) a close resemblance to what the new shirt will look like – but all will be revealed in the next few days.

Talking of kits, Mrs Hammer is getting me the new home top for my birthday this week – she’s bought it in a bigger size as last season we had to send it back as was too small in the usual sizes I have for tops! No it wasn’t me that ate all the pies! Has anyone else got the home top? Happy with it?

  • Stingray Stewart says:

Yeah i have got it,feels really lightweight & thin, its nice though. All i will say is that you need to be an athlete to carry it well.Aint for the beer belly brigade amongst us,lol 😉

Go for the bigger size i went for XL any smaller it would restrict my ability to breathe :-p

  • boys of 66 says:

Hahaha,i know the feeling,my belly isnt huge but it doesnt do me any favours in a fashion parade, lol, definately designed for the skinnier amongst us 😉

  • bubs says:

Jeff I did the same normally XL is big enough and plenty of breathing space but I got the XXL and even though I am on a diet indeed it,
Always the same Nike Fila Addidas good quality always give you a bit to play with,
For me Fila were the best quality no better cut in shirts,
Like the look of this away shirt and the new home shirt looks better on than in the photos
But I am sure a stats situation is about to hit us
