History on Hammers side at Burnley as Owen predicts

owenPundit Michael Owen is tipping Burnley to collect three points against the Irons on Saturday afternoon in the clash at Turf Moor.

The former Liverpool and England striker believes the Clarets will win by the odd goals but concedes the clash could has the look of a game that could go either way.

He wrote on Betvictor.com: “Burnley remain unbeaten on the road this season and they played very well, albeit against a disappointing Everton, at Goodison ahead of the international break.

“The Hammers continue to struggle for goals but did gain a valuable and much-needed home win against Swansea last time.

“A game I think that could go either way – although I don’t expect to see many goals at Turf Moor.”

Owen’s score prediction is Burnley 1 – 0 West Ham

If Owen’s prediction is to come true the Clarets will have to overcome the weight of history between the two teams on the north western ground where we have been beaten only once in 10 games since 1978.
