Adam Hlozek has been linked with the Hammers again.
The Czech Republic star has been in exceptional form for his club, Sparta Prague, and he scored 15 goals in 19 games for the club last season.
He’s just 18 and is also a member of the Czech squad for Euro 2020, with the nation finding their way through the group stages, having matched up with England, Croatia and Scotland.
The Athletic reports that Vlad Coufal and Tomas Soucek, the two Hammers in the Czech squad, have recommended Hlozek to the Irons hierarchy.
We’ve got two words for that: Well, duh!
This is an 18-year-old kid who is at a major tournament and who has played in every game thus far.
He has been in red-hot form for Sparta and he’s scored 28 goals in total in 85 appearances. He’s a teenager.
Sparta have their work cut out when it comes to keeping him, because he can play anywhere across the front three.
He has a contract until 2024 and it’d be shocking if he came as cheap as his Transfermarkt valuation, which stands at £15.3m, but it’s only natural that Soucek and Coufal want the Hammers to strike for a player of Hlozek’s quality.
It’s probably the most obvious story anyone can write!
