Palace boss Roy Hodgson goes into Saturday’s game admitting that “of late have been very good.”

The former England boss, however, is managing a team which is currently in dreadful form having taken just one win (against Burnley) from its last 10 games.

The awful run has also seen them crash out the EFL Cup at Miidlesbrough vy the odd goal and they arrive at the London Stadium in 15th spot and six points behind the Irons who are now on 18 points.

It’s the sort of run which has seen off managers in the past but Hodgson has been here before and recovered. However, he knows the size of the task at our place on Saturday.

And whilst not offering any huge insight to the game it was apparent that he is well aware of the task facing his team and is hopeful that his outfit can give the sort of account necessary.

He told reporters at the pre-match presser: “They have bought a lot of players, and the manager and staff are new. They have to integrate the players alongside long-standing players like Mark Noble, Declan Rice and Aaron Cresswell, these sort of guys.

You need an integration process, and their performances of late have been very good, and the quality of their players is good.
