Hodgson watches Noble

noble (1)Mark Noble remains hopeful of an England call-up after national coach Roy Hodgson watched him during the magnificent 2-1 win over Manchester City.

The 27-year-old, has never figured in Hodgson’s plans and has been linked with a possible switch of allegiance to Ireland, but he insists he has never given up hope.

He said: “Fingers crossed.Obviously it helps when the team is playing well and sitting in third or fourth place in the league.”

Noble has been in fine form this season, helped by the arrival of first Cheikhou Kouyate and then Alex Song to play alongside him in midfield.

  1. Despite these cynical times and a lessening in the publics appetite for the nation team, I believe representing your country is still the greatest honour any person can receive.

Not only that but it is huge feather in the cap for clubs to have their player picked for the national team. It also acknowledges that the club is producing and developing players in the right way.

Mark noble has represented his country at every level and has even been made captain on occasion. In conjunction with the excellent form he is showing he thoroughly deserves his chance at the top level.
My only concern however are his perceived lack of pace. A virtue highly prized an highly necessary at the top level and one that found lacking is ruthlessly exposed.

Despite all this I for one believe Mark has done more than enough to warrant his chance! COYI!

  2. Why would Woy pick one of the few players who has come through the England ranks and as a captain and be one of the Premierships most consistent players? Germany tried bringing players through their National system and what have they ever won!
