Holy Moses! What a great ‘window’

|

HammersWell it seems pretty unanimous – there’s very few complaints over this transfer window.

And what a relief that we can actually go to bed at a decent time eh DG?

The  ‘feelgood factor’ just won’t go away . A 3-0 win at Liverpool following the arrival of Victor Moses in particular with Alex Song and Nikicia Jelavic represents a top last 24 hours which ever way you want to spin it.

And before anybody calls out the Jelavic signing remember his one time international boss will know how to get the best out of a guy who has after all arrived as a FOURTH choice frontman.

It may not be over yet for the board are still talking about the boy Antonio at Forest amid reports – as yet unconfrmed – that Karen Brady has landed in Turkey on her way to complete a deal for yet another striker Burak Yilmaz.

mosesWe published a team of signings posted by a Twitter user a little while back that had been made this summer and it shows the strength across the squad in every position.

Thankfully, for once today the forums are positive and upbeat. We’ve been disappointed too many times in the past not to enter the last days of the summer window  worrying and whinging.

Not this time around and looking at the squad it really is onwards and upwards.

ClaretandHugh sends its congratulations to everybody involved in the dealings of this summer – you’ve done us proud.

It’s a bit early but if you want to …GO TO BED!

    Can’t please everybody,
Personally I think it’s been the best transfer window in my life,
The owners have shown real intent without sinking the club in big debt,
I was so wrong in the last 2 weeks when I have accused the 2 Daves of blowing Smoke up our Backsides,
    I eat humble pie

The lack of high quality striker is a real worry- why haven’t we sorted this?
Valencia is injured for the foreseeable, Sakho has a dodgy back and Carroll who knows. We have lost goals through Downing going, Moses is not a goal scorer. We have been lead to believe Hernandez etc but we end up with Jelavic and everyone says we have had a great window.

In amongst al the new signings we’ve made for this season I truly believe we have a few real gems and top players who alongside current members of the squad ( and when we have our injuries back ) should easily see us a top 10 team and a decent season ahead saying farewell to our beautiful old ground ( once we shake off the home game nerves )

Like the above posts West Ham is a massive part of my life as a kid, teenager and now hitting 50 and will continue to be until the day I go and have a beer with Bobby Moore !

I have been a Hammer Fan for almost 40 yrs and have been surprised over the years by some of the Transfers we have made, I remember nearly passing out at East Ham stn one night when reading in the Evening Standard that we had bought Phil Parks for just over half a million quid ( a world record at the time for a keeper ) and then Dicanio and Tevis and now this late late window news !!!! – all I can say is COYI you are my life West Ham ! – There is no finer moment in sport for me than when my team win even with all the upsets ! – Yes I’m forever blowing bubbles no matter what ! and to the rest of the prem – “Bring it on !! ” .
