We pay tribute to their legends of 1965 at Upton Park today when the great stars of that fabulous era will be around to remember our magnificent European Cup Winners’ Cup victory at Wembley.
A special reprinted collectors’ issue of the Wembley programme from that momentous day on May 19, 1965 when West Ham beat German side TSV Munich 2-0 with the late Alan Sealey scoring both goals will also be available.
And among the special guests at the game will be World Cup winners Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters as well as Ronnie Boyce, John Sissons and Brian Dear.
Ken Brown was due to be at the match, but may be forced to pull out after returning from his holiday to find his house had been burgled and both his FA Cup winners medal of 1964 and his Cup Winners’ Cup medal stolen.
Good memories brilliant team and agree with Dainon from the goal post in font of the Bobby Moore stand,
Whoever stole those medals should be strung up by their scrotum
