How Much? I Contract Details Confirmed

The deal for Crysencio Summerville  is now ready for signing according to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettiburg. And it smacks of another Tim Steidten master stroke.

The deal is being reported as ‘all in’ between £20 and £25 million for the Leeds’ whizz kid. This is considerably less than the £25 million plus add-ons which were being reported yesterday, which would have taken the deal up to a £30 million-plus figure, at which some were raising their eyebrows.

So, something under £25 million, then,  plus add-ons, which looks mighty good value and is another feather in the cap of our Director of Football Tim Steidten. Summerville will be joining on a five year deal, I’d be really keen to see if there’s any release clause – and the price- which might or might not get inserted into this future superstar’s contract.

I’m sure I echo thousands of Hammers fans who just want to see the deal confirmed now, as the first of a trio due over the line this Super Saturday. Hope to bring you the first PR shot later today.

Like everyone else, lifelong WHU fan and season ticket holder in old BMU stand at Upton Park from 2003. Billy Bonds these days with my adult son and impatiently waiting for my Grandson to be old enough to initiate him before his mum grabs him for Man U. All opinions are my own very biased ones.

🤣🤣even for west ham this is dragging on ridiculously

  • Kip says:

Same as wan bisakka ..its like they want someone to come in at last min …..Fulham bought smith Rowe of arsenal..that story came out 2 or 3 days after we found about summerville and that signing was wrapped up yesterday morning….WHAT DO WE DO TO CAUSE THIS …its utterly ridiculous ..
apparently they all been close for like 2 weeks now ….

Why the hurry? Why pay ManU five million more for Wan-Bissaka so that they can go and pay the agents fees (which we declined) on a player they want. Five million will more than pay his wages for a year. Five million might buy us a promising player (with wages) from the Championship. Five million might be the difference between us having and not having a points deduction. If Wan-Bissaka didn’t make the grade at ManU he won’t at Inter Milan. West ham is a far better place to get his career back on track. He knows that.

back in the day it would of been on the back page of the tabloids job done…but that was then this is now

“it smacks of another Tom Steidten master stroke”? Are there two of them? Tim’s brother perhaps. No wonder he can be in South America and Germany at the same time.
Still waiting for some positive fist pump worthy news. I so want this team to beat Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea on a regular basis.

Ok at best. 31 year old Fullkrug, past his best manager Lopetegui. Dire times for hammers

Whether comments come across as negative or positive, I think it is fair to say almost everyone on here loves West Ham. It is not so much negative v positive as worried v hopeful. I have followed WHU for 61 years so far and in that time there have been moments when I have thought “Sod this, who else can I support”. The answer is nobody. Once I get over my little hissy fit of disagreement the world and West Ham are good again and we move on.

  • Charlie Farley says:

They are very negative, Ray. Many of them are more negative than David Moyes was, haha. Yet he was one of our best performing managers ever. His teams never came close to entertaining in the way of those run by Greenwood and Lyall were in bygone eras.
Like you, I’m a long time fan (58 years) and I’m not going anywhere. I wish the negative fans would go and moan at Tottenham or Chelsea, we don’t need them to drag down our team as they’ve done for decades. They never appreciated the hard work that Allardyce put in and they got Bilic the sack just 11 games into a new season. Pellegrini wasn’t allowed to transform the team like he wanted to and was ousted after a season and a half. Not many wanted Moyes in for six months – and fewer wanted him back. Despite three top half finishes, three successive positive seasons in Europe, and that long awaited trophy win, it was time for a change.
Julen and Tim will take West Ham up a level……. how soon remains to be seen.
