  1. Very harsh on Song but apart from that spot on. Song a 7/8 in my book.

  2. Yeah Song had a few moments, but he does sometimes. But he does compensate for this with some of his passes going forward. For sure Kouyate answered alot of questions when we have anymore c/b injuries.Showed why he has played internationally & champions league as a c/b,thought he was very good.Got to say that Noble looked back to his all action best as well.Shows what happens when you have two lightening quick forwards dragging the other midfield & defense all over the place.Hope it is lesson learned by Sam,but we all know it wont be 😉

  3. Thought Kouyate was all over the place in the first 10 mins or so. But that was to be expected playing in the unfamiliar role for us for the first time. Thought Tomkins was immense. Song was not marking Blind for their goal and Jenkinsons header should of gone anywhere but back into the box. Noble really should of scored and we would of been in ecstasy.

  4. (7) Adrian: great distribution and saves.
    (7) Jenkinson: Solid, good going forward, just tired legs led to poor clearance at the end.
(9)Tomkins: Could of scored, great at set pieces.Won everything. Looked absolutely knackered at the end. MOM
    (8) Kouyate: Dodgy start bu got more familiar as the game wore on.Great goal.
    (8) Cresswell: Powerful performance, kept Di Maria quiet.
    (8) Noble: hard battle in midfield but worked hard and got forward more. Could/should of scored
    (7) Nolan: worked hard and didn’t do much wrong.Could of scored but we have better.
    (6) Song: Good passing forward but lost the ball to many times and wasn’t marking Blind for their goal
    (7) Downing: Good going forward but killer ball alluded him, great energy to keep going
    (7) Valencia: Great pace and could of scored early on.Worked well with Sakho
    (7) Sakho: Full of running and energy, lacked his killer instinct but never gave up.
    (7) Jarvis: Good running and good ball into Noble.Could of hit the target with free header.

Think we needed to bring on fresh legs for the last 10 mins. Either Cole or O’ Brien to help combat Fellini .

  5. Fair comments mate if a little harsh on Song.
I think that sometimes when you are anxious to drive the team forward you can be excused the odd stray pass.
Also it should be remembered that Song is of a different class to some of his teammates and when that class and vision is not shared and they don’t anticipate his passes, it is Song who is left looking foolish.
