Randolph: Not over busy but two or three fine saves – very satisfactory 6
Tomkins: Steady as a rock at full back and central defence when Ogbonna injured 7
Reid: No complaints at all although we were never under intense pressure 6
Ogbonna Forced off with injury but rock steady whilst Β on the pitch 6
Cresswell: Back to his best and could concentrate on defensive duties with more thrust down that side 7
Noble: Led the team with a seriously battling performance. Odd error but good performance in main 7
Lanzini: He will grow as he gets more games 6
Kouyate: Fought for everything and a real presence 7
Moses: Fast, powerful and full of trickery – great performance 8
Payet: Everything you could want, pace, power, passing perfection and two goals – outstanding 9
Sakho: Worked seriously hard and led line well – no complaints at all 7
SUBS: Jenkinson: Did well without tearing any trees up. Needs games 6
Carroll No time to make an impact
Really happy for Randolph.Think i mentioned on here before that my mate at work was a Brum season ticket holder, told me Randolph would do a great job for us but after a couple of Europa matches some people were already binning him for Rob Green & laughing about him being a Sullivan mess up of a signing, lol. No faith lads, the guy is a more than competent keeper π
Randolph let no goals in made 2 great saves and gets a 6 no must be a 8
Ried Ann Cresswell made 2 mistakes each that could have caused Goals and Ried needs to practice passing both 7
Noble must slow down and think gave away 40% of passes I want him to succeed and he has got to give the ball more simple, 7
Sakho unsung hero made his self available 100% worked non stop up front by himself no gaols but for me a 9
Lanzini min 7 Kouyate min 8
New system using our ability 10 but must cut out giving away cheap ball
Bit tight with some of those marks Hugh.Did someone steal your last Rollo lastnight & put you in a grump π
yes allardyce would be creaming his pants with all these clean sheets. But add to that the new attacking players, Payet, Moses, lanzini and I think we might have a bit of a team on our hands. We did first half of last season to be fair. Talking of which, when Valencia comes back, and we’ve not even seen Antonio yet, we are going to have a team that can do real damage on the counter attack.
It only takes one result to have Kevin shouting ‘BILIC OUT’ again, lol,he has been reborn more times than a Jehovahs Witness, but soon goes back to the Sammy loving.Im only joking with him though, aint meaning it nasty.
Wasnt too bad in the ground Essex, some decent singing roundabout me.Great to hear our managers name being sung again though after 4 years of it not happening, haha π
To be fair to our friend Kevin he seems to be reborn & dare I say it level headed. Time to be united after tonight… The only downer was it was so quiet tonight, maybe everyone was so ****ed off with the traffic that they lost their voices. π
Yeah that’s quite right lets all enjoy a good win. It wasn’t great because the Geordies had a bit too much possession for me, and, I think that may have led to a little anxiety in the crowd, hence being quite for periods. I think we defended too deep at times but that was a brilliant spring board to counter. ( I think we need to hold a higher line at cite, their intricate play around the edge of the box can be deadly).
On a slightly hypocritical note I have to mention Nob’s he made a great captain and leader, gave away the odd pass, but as usual came up with the goods , giving 100% for the shirt. Well done Skipper.
Becareful what you wish for!! We need stabilty in the season before we move to the OS!! Muppets!! I now cup my ear at you.Where are all you Sammerettes now.Oh thats right, all enjoying the ride under Slaven!! Though im sure Kevin has got his support of Bilic still retracted, lol π
There were no sixes. Change those sixes to sevens. All the boys scored at least 7, including obiang and Carroll. We won the game 2 nil. Up to fifth. Hats off to the them.
And Obiang?
Why is it someone always has to find fault ?
