How we rate Moyes’ reported wanted and exit lists

The names are coming thick and fast Rennes central defender Nayey Aguerd on his way in …Ward-Prowse  wanted…Lingard wanted but at huge wages.

Soucek it seems looks to be on his way and will only stay if there are no offers although we are told there’s is a European club closing in.

Aguerd looks set to be the first signing

Said Benrahma will be on his way out so long as the manager can get Lingard despite having spent £27 million on Nikola Vlasic when he failed to get JL in the summer of last season. That is very strange!

Areola is looking  likely but again at one heck of a wage whilst Yarmolenko, Fredericks and Masuaku are all likely to be gone.

Word among journos inside the Hammers scene has been for some time  that Moyes – for all our success over the last couple of seasons – hasn’t been overly happy with what he’s got.

That now appears to be coming into the public domain via ourselves, No doubt other sites will let it be known as they eventually catch on to what’s occurring.

But what to make of it all is difficult and this is not the time to judge the manager. We will see where he is at the end of July.

Right now we are waiting for the first official announcement of a signing but as things stand here’s my ratings out of 1)on what we have heard.

Possible Ward-Prowse signing 9

Areola to sign 7 Would prefer Nick Pope

Nayef Aguerd at £30m wait and see

Soucek to leave: 0

Lingard at £180k a week 4

Benrahma to leave 8

Yarmo, Masuaku, Fredericks to leave 9

  1. I would have to disagree with you on Lingard.

I know he is 29, but he has aways been naturally very fit, so I don’t think this is an issue.

My theory is, we are going to require a lot of new signings, as our squad is now paper fin. Now the issue with this is, adding 10 or so players at once (which is what we require), never really works. The good thing about Lingard, is he proved already that he can perform well for Moyes, he scored 10 goals in half a season. He already knows the players, and how things work, so won’t really need any settling in time. This for me is a real plus, giving how much new players will be required.

This is also the reason, I personal don’t agree with selling Soucek. Ok he has not had his best season compared to his first, but he still managed to score 5 goals for us. I think because expectations where raised after his first season for us. He is certainly not as bad as the twitter bigrade would tell you. He has also hardly missed a game in two seasons. With all the new signings required, the loss of noble, why make it harder with having to replace soucek too.

  2. Heard so many interviews where Moyes praises the Czech boys and their contribution to our success the last couple of years that I find it hard to believe Souchek could be on his way out.

  3. I read somewhere that Burnley have put a price of £40 million on Pope which, if true, would I think rule out any potential move for him. Very good keeper but never in a million years worth that kind of money.
