How we rated the Irons against Chelsea

|

Hughie hands out his marks

Fabianski: May feel a tad put out out by both goals especially the second but the first time near post Mount  volley appeared to surprise him it was taken so quickly. Beyond that he did well 6+

Coufal: Great performance and totally reclaims the right back role 7+

Diop: Fine return for first PL game of the season. 7

Dawson: Very solid throughout the 90. 7

Zouma: Went off injured halfway through second half. Pray it’s not serious. Top performance 7+

Johnson: Subbed early on . Little impact today 5

Rice: Another all action display – what a player he is and how great he can become 8

Soucek: PL stats show he has covered more ground than any other  player this season — now getting better game by game 7+

Lanzini: Top performance – always making neat passes, showing bags of energy and scored a nerveless pen immediately followed by him crossing his arms. What an Iron this boy is 8

Bowen: Absolutely quality, magnificent goal, always causing problems and a constant threat. Best display among many good ones as a Hammer 10

Antonio: Things started happening for us when they finally started happening for Mikey in the second half when he was regularly giving Chelsea panic attacks. Welcome back mate 8

Subs:

Masuaku: Delighted for the guy. Hate the ‘give a dog a bad name and hang him ‘ attitude. His first goal for the club helped by some bizarre goalkeeping 7.

Fornals: Late arrival No rating
