Fabianski: Pawed the ball away from Chris Woods head in a dangerous position. Could have done better for the Newcastle goal. 5

Fredericks: Took ‘one for the team’ with an early booking. Sloppy marking for the Willock goal, subbed at half-time. 4

Dawson: Scored the opener with a trademark header and unlucky not to score again at the start of the second half. Crucial block from a Willock shot. 9

Zouma: Steady, untroubled and unspectacular. Solid. 8

Cresswell: Fantastic delivery from set-pieces and set-up Dawson having had two early ‘sighters’. 7

Soucek: Poor passing and ball control. Set up a Dawson chance with a deft header. Outclassed by Joelinton. 4

Rice: Sleepy defending allowed Joelinton an early chance. Terrible header gifted Newcastle’s equaliser. A few trademark runs. 6

Fornals: Frustrating watching him toil on the left wing. Unable to dribble, cross or really impact the game. He’s just too slow to play the position. Moved to a more central position but no improvement. 5

Bowen: Hit the post early on. Posed a threat but well handled by Matt Target. 6

Benrahma: Given his favoured central free role. Some nice touches but manhandled by Newcastle and unable to impact the game. Words exchanged with Moyes when being substituted. 5

Antonio: More involved than recent games, won the freekick for the first goal. Took a battering all game. 6

Ben Johnson: On for Fredricks, won an early corner. Handled Murphy much better. 6

Vlasic: On for Benrahma. Ran around a lot but couldn’t really get involved. No rating.
