How we rated the Irons v Arsenal

Hugh

Hugh has the job of rating the players in volved in another defeat – be kind guys LOL

Randolph: Might have turned the first round an upright, spilled another – Adrian please 4

Byram: Did okay – not too much chat about the rb position of late eh? 6

Fonte: Horrible clearance for first goal – another seriously poor 90 minutes. £8 million – oh please 3

Collins: Seriously put his body on the line – some magnificent defending – shame he didn’t have a partner 7

Masuaku: Looked a top player again but the poor fella must wonder what he’s walked into 7

Noble: Top first half and won some great cheap free kicks – not the same force as Gunners midfield took over after the break 5

Ayew: Just what is this geezer all about?3

Kouyate: Some very good, a bit of good and some nasty bad via nasty little giveaways in midfield 5

Antonio: Excellent first half before being withdrawn which by coincidence is when the trouble started !!!!! 7

Lanzini: Quality on the ball, great forward runs, two failed free kicks – very decent display 7

Carroll: Determined and powerful before an early departure for Sak 5

Subs:

Sakho: No more than a get match fit run out but he put himself about and looked very strong 5

Snodgrass: Nothing …absolutely nothing. He really is starting to owe us 3

Fernandez: This guy needs his chance – does nothing wrong and looks quality 6

  1. Randolph = 2 (Get him out of the team NOW!!! )

    Bryam = 3 (Foul after foul after foul, every game. Should have been 2nd yellowed at least twice tonight)

    Fonte = 3 (Getting slower each game, we have been proper mugged of regarding his fee)

    Collins = 5

    Masuaku = 6

    Noble =5

    Ayew = 2 (Mid champ standard at best, shocking player)

    Koyoute = 5 (Seems to be playing with an injury, any confirmation on that? )

    Antonio = 6 (As always worked hard and tried to create)

    Carroll = 4 (not his fault, tactics did not suit him)

    Lanzini = 7 (MOTM Again. Wont be here next season will he? )

    Snodgrass = 1 (making Boa Morte look like a world class player)

    Sakho = 1 (Saw a report that said he touched the ball just twice, which is twice more than I remember)

    Fernandez = 6. Keeps looking promising.

    As Bilic, he got it all wrong again. Getting harder for us Bilic fans to keep defending him. Please Prove me wrong Slaven.

  2. Excellent ratings yet again Hugh. Well done.

  3. So it looks as if the Jan transfers were a disaster too? Two players who all the experts I heard comments from agreed are good solid players have been useless. Or should we say ‘have become useless’. Of course, that is crazy. Players don’t become useless over night. So it seems nobody really worked out how they would fit into the team. Or they are being asked to play in a way that does not suit their abilities.

    The other results went quite well from our point of view. But in the end we have to win at least a couple of games. I notice Hugh suggests there was another tactical blunder with Antonio being substituted. Maybe an injury?

  4. Our tactical formation was terrible.with the exception of a few players putting some triangular passes together.
    What in the hell is Slaven doing?

  5. Randolph has been non existent in goal everyone and anyone is shooting from anywhere.
    He could not stop a black cab at the minute.
    Half the team don’t seem bothered not trying to stop crosses they don’t care they still get paid.
    Kayoute was outstanding last season not even trying for the second goal.
    Can’t see us even both Swansea and Sunderland will bet us.
    Still be plenty of room at the bar next season.

  6. Is Bilic looking to get Sacked?.How the hell Randolph and Fonte are still getting picked is beyond most people.Snodgrass picked ahead of Fernandes its mindless stubbornness as if he thinks these players who are so low on confidence are suddenly going to hit top gear.Bet he puts nearly all this lot out to play Swansea which if we loose could be his last team selection for West Ham.

  7. I think a lot of the players are fed up! We need a manager to put a rocket up their arse ..Slav is clearly too matey with his players!

  8. From what I saw on the TV either Kouyate is injured or has given up each time a player just ran past him he did not chase or try to recover he just loped along a yard behind.
    Slav has made terrible mistakes he sold Tomkins because we had a glut of centre backs then he loaned out Oxford & Burke with no recall clause in their contract since then Reid & Ogbonna have long term injuries so we are forced to buy & what a poor buy in Fonte so far he has not kept a clean sheet how Southampton must be laughing. Also the players he has bought ( Ayew & Snodgrss ) seem very average & overpriced & do not seem to fit into the team’s style of play. We need someone with pace. There are news articles about West Ham offering a contract to the Man City left back age 32 are we once again becoming a footballers retirement home, look at how Artebola turned out. I seriously doubt Slav’s ability to buy good players or to get the best out the ones he has got I think he will be gone at the end of his contract but West Ham could be relegated by then.
