How we rated the Irons v Hull

Hugh hands out the marks

Randolph: A spectator for most of  a very one sided Irons evening 5

Johnson: With little threat from the visitors he had a confidence building outfit – never troubled 6

Balbuena: Like the rest of the back line a comfortable evening 6

Alese: No problems for the young man – another good prospect 6

Ashby: Great feet – looks a very exiting prospect. Sadly injured 7

Wilshere: Some decent touches but naturally looked ring rusty 4

Snodgrass: Great goal, bags of energy as usual  plenty of midfield drive 7

Yarmolenko: Two goals and a very good all round display from the Ukranian 7+

Lanzini: Showing a lot more close control and once again staked a claim for the weekend 6+

Anderson: More involved than we’ve seen him for some time and some effective stuff in there 6+

Haller: Two decent goals and led the line well 7

Sub

Longlelo: Did ok for the injured Ashby but took a while to pick up the pace of the game 5

  1. For me, that’s our strongest front 4 … when on song. They all seem to be playing well… fuid and free flowing and look dangerous every time they attack.
All 4 start for me on Saturday,
Ashby deserves a special mention too

  2. Great performance and looks like some partnerships gelling nicely. The management team have a headache in which format to pick I’d have to say. From my part, I think I’ll complain about every line up before every game as that guarantees we win! I don’t mind looking like a complete moron if it means victories for the might irons 🙂
