How we win the Brighton game

|

Gonzo gives his analysis of the big game

West Ham have to make the game at Brighton highly attritional as they go for a really big win tomorrow (Sun).

The Seagulls have two ways of playing – they are either Barcelona or total crap – and if we get after them, particularly on the counter attack, we will see the latter hopefully.

Tomas Soucek will have a big role to play after an improved performance last week against Manchester City but Mike Antonio is going to have a tough time against three central defenders which is the way Brighton play at the back.

Mikey has shown himself to be far better against two and in big Lewis Dunk they have a particularly good one despite the departure of Dan Burn to Newcastle in the winter.

He was dominant at set pieces and corners in particular so that could well be a very important part of our game again,

The great thing is that here we are playing an important part when the prize will either be the Rolls Royce of the Europa League or Mercedes of the Conference.

What a difference to the past relegation fights.

The result? I’m going for the Hammers to win it 1-3

I’m thinking our most effective work will be down the flanks, in behind the full backs. Hope to see Mikey out there on first phase,, if he stays central up against Dunk plus one he will get battered. Use your pace Mikey.
