'Won't make it': Eddie Howe now issues injury update over 'consistent' Newcastle star ahead of West Ham clash

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has admitted huis injury list doesn’t look great ahead of tomorrow’s game against the Hammers.
The Geordies arrive at the stadium for a highly competitive game with Howe being forced to admit that one player is definitely out.

He said little about the others but it has been reported he could have as many as six regulars missing from the game.

Defender Sven Botman will definitely be missing according to the Newcastle boss with the Dutchman having picked up an injury during the 8-0 hammering of  Sheffield United and having not been since.

The  visitors have only conceded once in three games he has missed and it would have been ideal for them had he been available this weekend…but it’s not to be.

Speaking in his press conference today Howe confirmed that Botman will definitely be absent for Sunday’s match.

He said: “Sven Botman won’t make it on Sunday” and he added “The injury list doesn’t look great but apart from Harvey Barnes I don’t think there’s anything long-term there.” .
