Moyes has plenty of reasons to worry

By Dave Langton

The EFL Cup may not be the most prestigious competition in the world but it WAS is a real chance for West Ham to win a trophy.

The Irons were beaten on penalties after a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium, and the other results last night have put the game in an altogether different light.

Arsenal, Spurs, and Chelsea were all eliminated from the tournament last night, losing to Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester City respectively.

The Irons would have had a real chance of pushing towards the latter stages of the competition, but a defeat to a Championship club has only served to ratchet up the pressure on boss David Moyes.

Now, the main hope for winning silverware will either be the Europa Conference League or the FA Cup – competition the Hammers see as far more important!.

Winning last night would have opened up a real chance of actually ending that horrible trophy drought.

What might have been… again but las night really wasn’t good enough at all against what was basically a Blackburn B team.

Moyes has plenty of reasons to worry about his future.

  1. I really think he has lost the dressing room

  2. Stop being so defensive , we should be closing down , running hard , pressing and attack . We are good enough to attack teams and the players need to step it up come on lads 😀
