Hugill makes it five in six

Hammer Jordan Hugill has made it five goals in six Championship games for QPR at the weekend.

The 27-year-old put two past Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday to grab all three points in a 2-1 win to put the West London club in eighth place in the league and just one point off fifth place.

The West Ham striker also registered goals against Stoke, Swansea City and Wigan in the first five games of the season.

Hugill agreed to a season-long loan with QPR with the Championship side paying £20,000 per week of his £33,000 per week wages with no additional loan fee.

Having joined the Hammers for £9 million from Preston North End under former manager David Moyes the striker spent last season on loan to Middlesborough for whom he scored seven goals in 41 appearances.

The 27-year-old has a contract with West Ham until 2022 but there is no option to recall him from his loan until January next year.

  1. Just needs confidence and to play regularly that’s what a footballer needs

  2. Well there you go , good luck to him he needs regular game time and won’t get that at West Ham . I guess he is going to have a good season and needs to keep his form up for himself !

  3. Very happy for Jordan, and glad things are coming together for him. This is just what he needs to build confidence, and maybe catch Pelligrini’s eye. Keep it up and everything of the best Jordan. God bless.
