“Hurry up” | Lopetegui Puts Pressure on Wan-Bissaka Deal

There are conflicting reports this afternoon regarding the transfer of Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham.

Negotiations have been strained for some days, and understandably, the Hammers have been focused on finalising transfer deals for both the outgoing Kurt Zouma and Jean-Clair Todibo, who is close to signing.

The deal for Wan-Bissaka has stalled due to the player demanding a ÂŁ7 million pay-off to leave Old Trafford, with neither West Ham nor Manchester United willing to cover the cost. This has led to speculation that the Irons might turn their attention to Girona’s Arnau Martinez. The young right-back had a remarkable season and is thought to be on the radar of both Manchester City and Barcelona.

As Matt reported earlier today, the Hammers hierarchy are bracing themselves for the deal to collapse and have explored numerous alternatives.

However, breaking reports suggest that the deal for former Crystal Palace defender Wan-Bissaka could be back on as the Red Devils seek to expedite the transfer.

Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui is eager to resolve the issue one way or another, and if a deal for Wan-Bissaka cannot be reached, he is keen for the club to pursue other options.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender 😬⚒️ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.

I’m starting to fear we will become too darn good ⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️

Prefer Bassaka but Man UTD always are difficult to deal with go and get Martinez over the line and get 2 wks with the squad.
Man utd are probably a bit bothered about us potentially becoming a good team and competitive top 6 material.
Stalling and the black arts of transfer markets seems to be top of their list ..

Dealing with ManUre is always a nightmare.
I hope we get Tobido with a gentlemans agreement to eventually sell on to them. Then go back on it

I don’t think this deal has ever been off……just stalled or delayed. He’ll be playing for us this coming season.

  • Paul lewis says:

As I said the other day, forget about dealing with Man ure, and if they ever want anyone from us just give them the finger.
They pay their players too much and let them suffer for it

Great banter guys 😂 if we get him though we would be really strong . Will take a few weeks to gel but on paper we look so strong . Also look at the players we have kept . Strong attacking options ⚒

i think you’ve inadvertantly begun the new fan song about him…if he ever gets here 😁

  • Hammeroo says:

Wan-Bissaka, Two-Bissaka, Three-Bissaka. It’s becoming a soap opera. In fact buying any player from Man U becomes a soap opera. Let’s pull the pin and make it None-Bissaka!

    • RhodesIron says:

Omg! We have to sign him now purely for that song. Genius! Tra-la-la 😁

    • Charlie Farley says:

That’s no reason to not sign Wan-Bissaka……..He’s a very good player. West Ham are being patient and so should we. I think he wants the move to us, so just relax and it will happen.

We were once patient with the Lingard situation, but the silly sod chose Nottingham Forest for reasons only known to him and then it went pear-shaped for him. It was Lingard’s prerogative, and I’ll bet he’s regretted it ever since.

It’s not a reason to believe that signing a Man United player will go that way again.

    • Simon Lewis says:

Brilliant. If he arrives that will defo be ringing out from the terraces.
