Husillos denies Greek defender interest

|

West Ham’s Director of Football Mario Husillos has denied interest in the Greek left back Leonardo Koutris who plays for Olympiakos and was reported to be valued around £10m.

Greek website Sport24.gr claim they managed to speak with Mario Husillos who once worked for Olympiakos about the interest and he agreed to go on the record the report says.

Husillos denied interest in the 23-year-old defender telling the Greek publication: “There is no question with Koutris, no, absolutely, it is non-existent,”

The article says that Koutris is only valued between five and six million Euros  (£4.3m-£5.1m) claiming that a number of other Premier League clubs and European sides have shown interest in the young left back.

West Ham left backs Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku are expected are valued by Manuel Pellegrini and not expected to move on this summer so it is likely that other positions are more of a priority this summer.
