Husillos set for ‘window’ action

Perez – a possible loan departure?

Mario Husillos’ presence at the game between Greece and Finland, where he is believed to have been watching Olympiacos left back Leonardo Koutris, nails all that stuff about transfer window decisions not being considered until January 1.

It also recognises that the left back position has become a real problem at the club along with the other issues in midfield.

Manuel Pellegrini has mentioned on at least a couple of occasions that he won’t be thinking about who may be coming in or going out until the window itself opens in January.

But of course – with all due respect – that simply can’t be the case as has been demonstrated by the fact that our director of football is busily watching players in the middle of November and probably was a lot earlier.

Deals have to be sorted out – in principle anyway – some time in advance of the window actually opening and I would guess that two or three have been made already

My guess is that the new left back with possibly a right sided loan arrival depending on how bad Fredericks’ ankle injury turns out to be, a couple of midfielders, again with one probably on loan and possibly a striker.

It wouldn’t surprise me to see a bid come in for Michail Antonio from Palace and I would imagine that Lucas Perez could be a loan departure.

WE are certainly on our marks – that’s a certainty!

  1. That all sounds good to me cresswell sell asp and a few others especially chich and Carroll and Sanchez and Perez if all fit even Arnie if he thinks Everton and manure are upgrades we can get in younger players of quality now as a few of our boys break into the squad Grady Holland are two for certain. Left back a must and with pelle now realising cheap deals like Sanchez and Perez both crap don’t work and just waste money we can with sales start getting in players that want to play for our club and are fit for our club like the terrific first batch of our overhaul started by yarmo diop rocky Anderson and fab with our boys rice and Grady good start eh

  2. I wonder if Snodgrass could play right back ? He certainly tries hard and he is never going to be a first choice on the wing, could be if he applied himself he could have a career like Ashley Young / Antonio Valencia ? As for the window if we sign Declan up to a long term contract that should be first priority even before the window.Left back, central midfield and two strikers, Hernandez looks unhappy so he should be sold on if we can get close to our money back on him.
