Hutch responds to Noble comment

|
Former Hammer Don Hutchison has responded to comment made about him by West Ham captain Mark Noble.

Nobes wrote in his Evening Standard column I remember Don Hutchison was relentless when I was a young kid, hammering me for this and that. One day I said: “Hutch, what’s your problem? Why are you ‘on’ me so much?’ He replied: “Mark, it’s because I like and respect you. If I had no time for you, I wouldn’t do it.”

Hutch replied to Noble on social media saying  I got that from Graham SOUNESS. He done the same to me, I loved Mark Noble so I was on his case every day”

Noble was speaking about new buy Jarrod Bowen and the pressure he is under after joining West Ham explaining “Jarrod is a quiet boy but — as you can perhaps imagine — myself, Aaron Cresswell and Robert Snodgrass haven’t left him alone. That’s just part and parcel of being a new boy at this club and it’s a test of his character.”

The captain says they have Bowen making their coffees at Rush Green before the training starts.

Have you ever played as part of a team, Rob? This is all part of the banter and building of team spirit. Bowen is a 24 year old man. If he wasn’t happy with the situation I’m pretty sure he has the will power and determination to put a stop to it. Lighten up a little. COYI.

bullying in the name as character building they have already said “Jarrod Bowen and the pressure he is under” what about the new boy’s mental health?

Really? I doubt it’s in the same category as the Wimbledon ‘crazy gang’ culture and is probably more about integrating him into the team in a tongue in cheek manner. I feel there’s enough negativity around the club without accusations of a bullying culture.

If Jarrod bangs in 10 or more goals keeping us ‘UP’ They’ll be waiting on Him !!!
