I hope and pray ‘Sak’ was just having a bad day

|

SakhoDiafra Sakho – as regular readers of my stuff know – is my favourite Hammer – even above Dimi Payet whom I love to pieces.

So that demonstrates exactly what I think of the guy who is currently at the centre of what hopefully is nothing more than a storm in a teacup over his absence from the Arsenal game.

The club’s hierachy has this morning moved to clear up a possible controversy over allegations that he had a problem in training when it was alleged by sources he wouldn’t be in the team yesterday.

Please God that’s true and I am glad to take it at face value because of my admiration for the striker who I believe puts 20 per cent minimum on the team’s performance  at his best.

He creates tremendous space for Dimi and Manu to weave their magic and has been tireless in his efforts for this club since arriving from France.

It was really sad to see him posting a snapchat message saying that when he’s hated he does even more to be hated but I’m ready to accept that could have meant anything about anybody. I hope he was just having a bad day.

Diafra Sakho is a fabulous striker and to have picked him up for £3.5 million was amazing although he does attract some negative headlines.

We won’t go into them here because they have no relevance to the current situation. I just hope he’s back in the squad for Wednesday night, and plays his part in taking us to Wembley.

He has certainly been great for us so far in his career, as you say hopefully he can sort his head out off the field so he can go back to giving everything for us between now and the end of the season.

  • StanThe Man says:

We don’t need him,Carroll scored a hat trick in one game & now he is the greatest forward ever according to some, lol.OK he was tremendous but let’s not get carried away about one match against a defence we all knew he would dominate.Let’s see how he gets on with Morgan & Huth next week.

    • Billy the Hammer says:

Who will get the red card next Sunday,Huth or Carroll, lol.Could be a right battle 😉

  • Personally Stan as the coming big club I think we need all the good players we can find

    • StanThe Man says:

I know Hugh, was joking that we don’t need him because Carroll scored a hat trick & now he is a God again, lol

Lets hope Diafra does indeed sort himself out and soon , Dimi has had a great first season and seems to be getting most of the plaudits at the moment and quite right too although he couldn’t do it without the whole team performing the way they are .But someone’s success can sometimes put another’s nose out of joint and that is where man management skills comes to the fore .Slaven will have this “alleged” situation at the top of his thoughts i would reckon if true . We need Diafra firing on all cylinders along with Andy for the run in if we are to make Europe this season , which incidently is starting to look a little doubtful at moment with events seeming to conspire against us . Great performance yesterday and yet another stunning comeback deserving of all 3 points .
Then like my dreams they fade and die ? Lets hope not !!

3rd problem in 2 years,we like him so we are giving him the benefit of the doubt,
Rav had to go for similar problems
Who,s next Valencia when he can’t get a game ?
This is the problem this team is now settling down only Ginge and Byram might get a look in
So Obiang might not like being sub every week also,
We don’t need rotation at the moment we need our best side,
Sak had the spot and lost it
Antonio has waited and now an important part of our side,
Noble has worked so hard to become Mr Consistent along side Kouyate,
Let’s hope the others work to get back in not think the have the right to play

Disappointed with how this was handled here yesterday, spoilt half time for me! still stand by there was No Need to reproduce what was said, several times foreign players say things which we do not see as acceptable. I too hope Sakho was having a bad day, he is far to good to just let go.

Carroll had a good game yesterday and took his goals well, but it is just Seven this season, and Twenty One in the Premiership since he joined us in 2012, this morning on club fan sites we have again a complete over reaction, for England? there are top strikers who have scored more this season! so lets always keep some reality!

  • Billy the Hammer says:

Reality doesn’t exist when it comes to AC amongst his faithful, lol.I love watching him when he is on form but it ain’t something to over hype.Kane & Vardy have done it over a season, not one match, lol

  • Sams P45 says:

Haha,The Leaping Salmon for England after one match, got to love some of our fans, lol 😀

  • essexclarets says:

I am a bit disappointed with Sak this season, i know he missed a fair number of games but he has gone on record saying he will get 20 this season. While this tally is impossible i still expected more than he has given. Would anyone be temped to cash in on him this summer?

  • Michael Miller says:

Umm – it all smells a bit fishy doesn’t it!

ExWhu is hinting thst there’s more to the story and making it sound like some sort of cover-up job, but he’s always a bit of a drama queen so …. basically, somethings going on but God knows what!

  • mattefumi27 says:

Ok, Carroll yesterday was terrific, but yesterday… I still prefer Sak. 😉

  • CKRC123 says:

I am relatively similar, as much as I love Payet the player who I really have a strong connection with is Antonio or Sakho, I just want them both to do especially well. I was speculative of Valencia leaving in the summer but maybe this is the nail in the coffin for Sakho and he might possibly move on. I hope to God he doesnt!

I also need clarification, I heard that Antonio wont be playing in the Man U. FA cup tie due to his 5th yellow card this season. Someone tell me this isnt true!

  • Billy the Hammer says:

Nah don’t think so.He only has five for the season doesnt he.This time of the year it is 10 up until the second week of April gets a suspension.

  • Gobby says:

Personally I think this is totally down to some sort of personal life problems.Don’t believe for one minute it is down to being ****ed off about not starting Saturday, that is bs in my opinion.

  • Jack says:

I smell a rat. The Snapchat quote was in perfect English, which Diafra doesn’t speak let alone write (watch Me & Him with Cheik on YouTube). Could be his agent putting some excrement in the blender, looking for some transfer cash. When there was a problem with Amalfitano last year, Slaven was upfront about it immediately, so I’d be surprised if there was anything major. Looking forward to his hat-trick on Wednesday.
