Carlton Cole is looking for the big finish!
After just five appearances this season he admits that he needs as much playing time as possible given that he’s facing an uncertain future.
Now with Diafra Sakho’s injury and Andy Carroll still on the sidelines, it looks as though his chance has come to make a huge impact.
Manager Sam Allardyce believes he will and the 31 year old – who looks certain for a role against Manchester City this weekend – told kicca.com: “For some players who aren’t playing maybe the end of the season can’t come soon enough.
“But for me, I want to get as much game time as possible. I have to try to find a new contract, new club or stay at this club next year. I need to really get that new deal so I need to be playing.”
Carlton ios set to play alongside Enner Valencia at City as the team look to take advantage of a massive slump in form by a team that has lost six of their last eight games.
Manager Sam Allardyce said: “Like ourselves, they cannot find a way to win at the moment. Hopefully we can test their nerve a bit.”
Irons possible line-up: Adrian, Jenkinsoin, Reid, Collins, Cresswell, Noble, Song, Kouyate, Downing, Cole, Valencia.
Sam is going to go there to try not to get mullered. If Valencia (if fit obviously) & Cole start i will be amazed. He will play Cole on his own because there is no way he will not have Nolan in the team or pack the middle. If im wrong i wont be surprised,im always wrong. Is why im here, not mixing it with the West Ham Think Tank on WPWID 😉
Cole plays like Nolan.no effort, no goals and effect on the game.playing Citeh with 9 players is inviting a hiding.

Sam does not like playing 2 up top at home V’s bad teams so he defo wont play 2 strikers away to Man City, if Valencia starts it’ll be out wide not up with Cole..
Cole looked useless against Stoke so it doesn’t look likely that we’ll get anything but an embarrassing defeat.
I predict that Nolan will play – you may as well put in a traffic cone for all the difference he’ll make!
