Kelechi Iheanacho has cooled talk of him making a move to West Ham or anywhere else.
The Manchester City striker has been linked with the Irons for several weeks and our insiders have made it clear he is a target.
With the summer transfer market now open, serious talks can start but the Irons have been unable to get any answers from City on their position and are still waiting for a price or whether he is available.
Iheanacho poke to a BBC World Football podcast and was asked if he will be at City next season and gave what really amounts to a double edged response.
He said: ‘Definitely. I don’t know about that news [regarding a move]. All I know is that I’m still at Manchester City, I’m still a Manchester City player so all the news that’s going on about teams wanting to buy me, I try not to know about that.
‘People will go on holiday and we will see. It’s not only me that hasn’t been playing, there are other players.’
So Batshuayi will go Everton.
And iheanacho will stay at Man City.
Where does that leave us regarding a striker.. that’s supposed to be premier league proven?
Looks like it might have to be overseas players.
Two good strikers need to be bought asap, concerned that we are not very attractive to decent strikers in the Prem and will end up with poor substitutes. Sullivan knows we will have to go big money wise to get Prem players, not convinced he will do whatever it takes.
Can’t see where he mentions the Irons.
Re do the headline to satisfy ennate please fellas. We cant be going upsetting the whtid big wigs lol
