Dan Potts has been offered a new two year deal with the Irons.

ClaretandHugh has learned this morning (Fri) that the 20 year old will hopefully remain at the club on an improved deal.

There has been speculation that the 20 year old was surplus to requirements at the club and would be allowed to move on with a £250,000 price tag on his head.

That followed the news that young defender Jordan Spence will be allowed to move on

But ClaretandHugh has learned exclusively that Potts –  the Young Hammer of the Year 2012 – has been made an offer of a further two years at Upton Park and is currently thinking the deal over.

A top club insider told us: “We have taken up our one year option and offered him a better deal on a two year contract.

“He’s hes making up his mind what to do.”
