West Ham United has been actively pursuing Carlos Soler throughout the summer transfer window. The Spanish midfielder’s technical ability, vision, and creativity have made him an attractive target for the Hammers.
Soler’s desire to join West Ham is driven by his ambition to play in the Premier League and increase his chances of making the Spanish national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
West Ham has agreed to a season-long loan deal with PSG for Soler. The deal includes an option for West Ham to purchase Soler at the end of the loan period. This structure allows the Hammers to assess Soler’s performance in the Premier League before making a permanent commitment.
Carlos Soler’s arrival would be a significant boost to West Ham United’s midfield. His technical ability, passing range, and creativity would add a new dimension to the team’s attacking play. Soler could form a formidable partnership with Lucas Paqueta , giving West Ham an even stronger midfield core.
Apparently, according to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, the player is en route to London today for a medical: (let’s hope his flight doesn’t get delayed like mine did last week! Maybe its time for the Tim Steidten Jet to complete the job!) mt
Talk of West Ham loaning Chukwuemeka from Chelsea is a rumour but that’s all it is. Todibo and Soler both in on loan makes up our 2 that we’re allowed
I was about to raise the same question/issue around the max number of ‘loan’ signings.
It is two max, and 4 total across the season.
Would be good to have more, but with JC Todibo a ‘loan-to-buy’ deal, it might limit Steidten today?
We need more midfield presence, especially with Paqueta uncertainty, this is a good signing. Indeed with the outgoings that appear to be happening it looks like good business all round.
Any other incomings would need to be not loans.
Great signing as long as its Soucek making way for him …
