Ings Gets Second Championship Offer

As discussed yesterday, the Danny Ings situation desperately needs to be finalised one way or the other.

West Ham United striker Danny Ings is facing an uncertain future at the club. With limited playing time and the arrival of new signings, Ings may be forced to seek a move elsewhere.

However, it now appears that according to TBR, that his former club Burnley have expressed interest in signing Ings. A move to the Championship could provide the striker with an opportunity to revive his career and secure regular playing time.

Ings has struggled to establish himself in West Ham’s starting line-up. The arrival of new signings, such as Niclas Fullkrug, has further limited his playing time.

If Ings cannot find a place in West Ham’s plans, a move to the Championship could be a viable option.  Burnley may be willing to offer him a more prominent role and the chance to contribute to their promotion ambitions.

But then again, as a £125k per week benchwarmer, it might be difficult to motivate him to move.

Your very last sentence kind of says it all and possibly makes the rest of your comment irrelevant.

Too good for the Championship and would not expect him to go there. all

” . . . has struggled to establish himself in West Ham’s starting line-up. ” Definitely true under Moyesy, where you either fitted in or not. But he featured in several of the pre-season games (two goals) plus the Villa game.

Meanwhile Fullkrug seems pretty slow to get going and really hasn’t done anything yet – plus fluffing a penalty.

Ings believes he’s a top class striker but all he’s done at West Ham is sit on his arse and collect his large salary he knows he won’t get paid that kind of money from clubs who would like to sign him to me he’s. Like a boil on West Ham arse just a money grabber it’s all that matters to him I can’t see how he can be anything else given that he has already turned down the chance to join other clubs

  • Paul says:

Totally agree with ”Bennyboy-Baker” Ings is digging his heels in to stay and to get revenge really on ”Moyes” for not starting him more in the first-team. to be honest he’struggle to make our second-team .and Jules has just taken over from him. half a mil a month for sitting on our bench is crappppp. i read earlier something about ”A-Buy-Out-Clause” what ever that involves we should do it real-quick i think. just one other thing. surely we knew that ”J-W-P” was not gonna fit in to Jules team in pree fixtures, why leave it till the last week to put him up for sale ??? that’s the only one thing i cant get my head-around COYI.

    Cheers Paul.

I disagree. Both Bennyboy and Paul would have to sit on their a—s, and happily take the money if they didn’t get picked.

  • Ray says:

If Danny Ings feels he is past it at 32 and maybe no longer has the appetite for the rigors of PL football and is maybe considering retirement, then why shouldn’t he exercise his rights under the terms of his contract? If on the other hand, WHU have a legal option to terminate his contract, presumably with a payoff, then again, why not.

Had a spell at Burnley earlier in his career
