Ings update

Injured !£15 million man Danny Ings has received a jab in his knee following a scan after the match against Everton last weekend.

He  suffered a painful whack barely 30 seconds into his debut on Saturday almost as soon as he arrived on the pitch rather than in the last few seconds as was initially reported.

Danny Ings suffered an injury just seconds into his West Ham debut

It is believed this could rule him out of the game for up to a month although some sources believe it could be three weeks and is a terrible blow to the club so soon after his arrival.

Ings, 30, only completed his move from Aston Villa 36 hours before coming off the bench in West Ham’s 2-0 win over Everton.

And Hammers medical staff are now waiting to assess the reaction to the jab and will know more in the next 24 hours.

Ings was already cup-tied for Monday’s FA Cup fourth-round trip to Derby County. so could miss just the games against Newcastle at St James’ Park and Chelsea at home with the ganme at Spurs just possible for his return.
