West Ham have reportedly expressed interest in signing Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

According to The Guardian, the Hammers have held initial discussions over a summer swoop for Nelsson, who came close to joining Tottenham last season before the move fell through.

The Danish international is also a transfer target for this weekend’s opponents, Crystal Palace, who are likely to be without central defensive duo Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen for the Premier League game at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

In a further twist, the Turkish side are one of three clubs reportedly interested in Hammers winger Maxwel Cornet.

As reported on C&H last week, West Ham remains in the hunt for another central defender but only if Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, or both can be offloaded.

As reported yesterday, the club would prefer not to sanction a move for defender Konstantinos Mavropanos who is wanted by two Bundesliga sides.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender 😬⚒️ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.

Saw him on TV against Young Boy’s last night 2 – 2 draw but best avoided, honestly, positioning all over the place, no great attributes in the air or on the deck. Would be a complete waste of money so best move on

Correction, 3-2 forgot late penalty but half asleep by then! Batshuayi came on as sub and scored both. Like Watkins he’s always moving and never static, shame we’ve never signed him
