Injury blow for Hammers

MarkoArnautovic_3542583k-large_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqqVzuuqpFlyLIwiB6NTmJwfSVWeZ_vEN7c6bHu2jJnT8West Ham transfer target Marko Arnautovic could face a lengthy spell out of action with a knee injury. The news comes just hours after he handed in a transfer request after a £15m bid from West Ham was rejected by Stoke.

Despite the interest, Arnautovic started the club’s pre-season victory over Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax.

Arnautovic was forced off shortly before half-time after falling awkwardly in the penalty area when attempting to complete a cross.

The Austria international received medical treatment on the pitch and was assisted off by the Stoke physio. West Ham will now wait and see the extent of the injury before deciding whether to make a second bid on the 28-year-old Austrian.

  1. Like I said earlier, when I “broke” this story…the fact he’s done his knee means he’s a definite signing now! 😀

  2. It’s a new low players gets injured before we have even signed him.

  3. Ha the Hammer curse already. He could be playing off. Stoke are now keen on Snodgrass so if it is just a knock. Seem.we could use Snoddy for something

  4. The West Ham Curse is striking before we’ve even signed ’em now – mind it should knock a few bob off his value, but you’ll be taking a risk with him!

As Private Fraser would say – we’re doomed, doomed I telll you!
