Injury update on Hammer

Lukasz Fabianski has been described as 90 per cent certain to be involved against Nottingham Forest after being replaced at tin the opening day defeat against Manchester City.

The Hammers  No 1 keeper left the action  – making way for Alphonse Areola who sadly conceded a spot kick faced with the blinding speed of Erling Haaland.

It would be easy to blame the No2 but Fab may have found himself in precisely the same position had he been wearing the sweater at the time and Haaland’s pace was probably more responsible for the penalty than anything else.

ClaretandHugh has been told that Fab sustained a bad dead leg during the game but that he appears to have made a very good recovery.

As a result the club is of course  is highly optimistic that he will be involved against the newly promoted outfit who were beaten in their game at Newcastle on the opening day of the season.

  1. It’s good that the injury wasn’t too serious, particularly the luck we have lately.
I think Areola should start and get a run of games in a view to be the no 1 in the long term
