Whilst more than a few of us West Ham fans are slightly concerned about the club’s lack of transfer activity this summer, our head coach is said to be “relaxed” about the situation.
The Hammers have been described to Claret & Hugh today as not being close to any imminent signings despite the start of the season being less than a month away.
However, Nuno Espírito Santo is said to be happy with the size of his squad at present and equally happy to give players a chance.

Nuno met with Daniel Křetínský at the end of last season, where the Czech billionaire reassured him that, despite the wishes of David Sullivan, he would remain as head coach.
At that meeting, it is understood Espírito Santo was informed of the likely departures of Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville.
However, he was also told he would not be forced to sell any other key players, and the West Ham hierarchy have since moved to retain as many as possible.
Waiting For Movement
Nuno was also allowed to discuss extending Adama Traoré’s stay at West Ham, although that was rejected by the winger, who spent the second half of last season at the London Stadium.
That said, it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise in the world if Traoré were to have a change of heart after seeing the club’s ambition in retaining key players such as Jarrod Bowen.
As for Nuno, he’s happy working with the squad he currently has but should be able to move in the transfer market once Crysencio Summerville leaves the club.
Claret & Hugh also asked a well-known agent whether they expected West Ham to make signings and were told:
“I’d imagine so. They haven’t brought the recruitment director (Nils Koppen) in for nothing, he’s looking at players. It might be one in, one out though?”
Well it sounds like the club is all pulling in the same direction, by looking at each issue together and making a comman sense decision which sometimes is just making the best of a bad situation, and it’s not all about money or football just what is best thing to do! That is the only way we can move forward and I hope everyone stays on the same page.
Think Troare would be a good shout if Summerville goes. Only started once and was MOM against Leeds with 6 crosses & 1 assist and unstoppable running taking the ball up the field against a premiership side..
If you have him & Bowen then not so much need for a creative midfielder as just need the midfield to get the ball out to these 2.

Disasi and one fast attacker -the more so if Summerville leaves-, would be important additions to the team. In terms of attacking power, we already lost Mo Kudus and Guilherme over the past year.
Do we really need any new players? We have several top quality youngsters trying to breakthrough. Scarles, Potts, Marshall, Earthy, Orford, Mayers, Golambeckis, Kante, Landers, Herrick. If none of them are deemed good enough for the championship then we may as well let them move on.
I knew we had been duped by the board. I can see exactly where this is going. We’ve already lost Disasi, Fernandes, Wilson and Traore. More will leave, with no replacements. This club is a joke
