Interesting West Ham keeper development revealed

West Ham under 23 goalkeeper Joseph Anang was a notable absentee from the Hammers development side on Wednesday night.

Anang was has been a regular for the Academy side all season was missing from the matchday squad with reports suggesting he has been training with the first team.

The 19-year-old who joined the first-team squad pre-season in Austria could find himself on the bench at Stamford Bridge as a backup keeper.

David Martin has also been reported to have stepped up his training this week with rumours suggesting he could replace Roberto in goal this Saturday.

Club insiders have said that it is too early in the week to know team selection and the manager is unlikely to tell the squad until Friday evening.

All early indications so far suggest Roberto’s days could be numbered and a David Martin/ Joseph Anang combo could get their chance.

Fabianski is making a good recovery and it is claimed he could return as early as 14th December when the Hammers face Southampton.
