Ipswich hope for Collison

CollisonFormer Hammer Jack Collison is wanted by Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy.

The midfielder – released by the Irons in the summer has been training with The Tractor Boys and the Town manager is now ready to bring him in from the cold.

Collison has had a run out with the Town under 21s but has still to commit to a deal.

However McCarthy said: “I’d like to help him – he’s a great pro and has had a tough time with injuries.”
