Spurs my well have a Harry Kane headache this weekend.
The England captain was a fitness doubt for the clash with Denmark in midweek after apparently sustaining an injury in training.
But he played against the Danes as England lost 1-0 in something of a damp squib at Wembley.
Kane, though, was in remarkably poor form as he gets ready to return to league action against the Hammers.
Kane had five shots on goal, one of which was off target, but the other four were blocked by defenders, per WhoScored.
It was also notable that he repeatedly refused to gamble in the box to get on the end of teasing crosses.
Kane also failed to complete a dribble and won just 63% of his aerial duels.
He was caught offside once, was also dispossessed once, and conceded two fouls.
He did not look sharp enough, did not look fit enough, and ultimately failed to turn the tide his side’s way during one of his poorest international performances.
It is a headache for Mourinho this weekend, and will surely be a boost to the West Ham backline who were in such outstanding form against Leicester.
If the Hammers can stop him, they’ve got every chance of picking up all three points.
