Irons boost as Kane form creates Mourinho headache

Spurs my well have a  Harry Kane headache this weekend.

The England captain was a fitness doubt for the clash with Denmark in midweek after apparently sustaining an injury in training.

But he played against the Danes as England lost 1-0 in something of a damp squib at Wembley.

Kane, though, was in remarkably poor form as he gets ready to return to league action against the Hammers.

Kane had five shots on goal, one of which was off target, but the other four were blocked by defenders, per WhoScored.

It was also notable that he repeatedly refused to gamble in the box to get on the end of teasing crosses.

Kane also failed to complete a dribble and won just 63% of his aerial duels.

He was caught offside once, was also dispossessed once, and conceded two fouls.

He did not look sharp enough, did not look fit enough, and ultimately failed to turn the tide his side’s way during one of his poorest international performances.

It is a headache for Mourinho this weekend, and will surely be a boost to the West Ham backline who were in such outstanding form against Leicester.

If the Hammers can stop him, they’ve got every chance of picking up all three points.

  1. Kane has been awesome for Tottenham this year because they have a brilliant manager (unlike England) and he players with quality players (unlike England). Imagine playing in front of the worst midfield England have ever fielded

  2. Yes, Harry’s in remarkably poor form for Spurs so far this season, isn’t he? Just 8 goals in the 7 games so far and a paltry 7 assists. [More than the entire West Ham team in both categories!]. Very fortunate for you he’s so out of touch then, only leaves Son and Bale to worry about on Sunday!

    • Ha I know right. England, in my opinion, are a group of disorganised players and perhaps its kanes lack of confidence in his team mates that is affected ting his performance for ENGLAND! He doesn’t have this problem with spurs and in fact, while he can score, he is more likely to feed son in 3 times then score a hatrick himself. Nobody quite knows what to expect from bale and tbh, if I wasn’t a spurs supporter, that would scare me more

  3. There are very few sure things in life. But from my experience, every out of form striker circles the west ham fixture on the calendar….we always seem to play strikers back into form. I would not bet against a Kane hat trick…sorry.

  4. That only leaves Son, Lamella and Bale then. 3 points nailed-on 😉

  5. Ridiculous article. Spurs would beat England every time!!! The service Kane got was nil from an unbalanced England second 11. Let’s face it , it’s WHU we are playing, not Bayern Munich. Just turning up should give spurs 3 Pts.

  6. In his team talk I am sure that Moyes will concentrate on how to nullify the threat of an in-form Kane and not say something like “well Harry Kane is off form so its OK we dont need to worry about him”
Lets hope that we put in a performance to match our previous performances (Arsenal, Wolves and Leicester) and not rely on what is going on with the Spuds

  7. Never ceases to amaze me, why do supporters of other clubs come into a forum that is not applicable.
