West Ham have been forced to move very quickly for Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio after an unnamed club moved in on Victor Moses.
The Hammers were close to clinching a a year’s loan deal in excess of £5 million which was made up of £70k a week in wages and a £2.5 million loan fee.
But ClaretanHugh received a phone call a few minutes ago explaining that the club – whilst not giving up on the deal – had been forced to go back to Forest as “an unnamed club cam in bidding to gazump us.”
It’s a typical close to deadline situation and the latest word from inside Upton park is that talks aimed at making the exciting Forest winger a Hammer are continuing.
The Hammers have increased their first £5 million bid of a few weeks ago to £7 million but that the talking is continuing.
ClaretandHugh was told: “All options are still open but we are not alone in our interest for Moses. A club is trying to gazump us ”
