Irons chase German striker Lasogga

LasoggaWest Ham are tracking 6 ft 2 in striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga who has been banging in goals for German outfit Hamburger whilst on loan from Hertha BSC.

Having played 63 games for Hertha since 2010 and scoring 22 goals, he was allowed to join rivals Hamburger on loan and finished the season grabbing 13 goals from 20 appearances.

The 22 year old – who has made 11 appearances for the German under 21s for four goals – is believed to be a serious target for the Hammers.

A source said: “He has been regularly scouted and an initial loan move with an eye to a permanent deal  may well be on.”

Lasogga has been with the Hamburg club for a year on loan and ClaretandHugh understands that Hertha are ready to allow him out again with the Hammers at the head of the queue to sign him.
