Irons confident of clinching two deals

timthumbWest Ham’s powers-that-be will be disappointed if they don’t conclude deals for Carl Jenkinson and Alex Song.

The Arsenal right back is understood to have been offered a major new pay deal at the Emirates ahead of joining the Irons on a new loan deal.

As reported by ClaretandHugh several days ago, despite a tentative approach to buy the player on a permanent deal we were told by our own sources there was no chance of it happening.

We had been told: “Arsenal won’t hear of it,” and today there are reports that Jenks will now be handed a bumper new deal before arriving at Upton Park on loan.

The player is expected back from a Cyprus holiday this week and the Hammers hope to tie up the deal quickly along with Alex Song.

Some reports say the defensive midfielder is considering his future but a Hammers source told us: “We would be disappointed if we didn’t do those two deals.”

  1. I repeat what I have said before Song and Jenkinson do not represent additions in the true sense of the word because we had them both last year. They would represent a loss if we don’t sign them but they don’t give us anymore depth than we had.
To date, we still have only increased our depth by two players of any significance. Still a ways to go

  2. Be good to get these two done and dusted, but I would still feel more comfortable with a right back of our own,

  3. I read this morning that West Ham are worried about the injury that Song currently has, it could be a lot more serious than originally thought, according to the Daily Mail.

  4. It has been reported we are close to two new signings for about three weeks now 😉

  5. More gossip to put pressure on Barc to let him go for nothing,he looked OK training this week,
If we don’t get him I am not worried as Poyet needs playing time,

  6. He aint,he is injured,he has been having treatment at CH.Fact not fiction, lol

  7. Thanks Spoonie if you say so and not mystic Brad I believe it but now you have posted it
It will be on Wetpants anytime now, with his temperature, blood pressure, ect
It’s quite simple if he is not fit he won’t pass a medical end of transfer

  8. Dont trust Spoonie, only Mystic Bradders can be believed, lol, guess this is what the hold up is,getting his injury sorted to pass the medical.Maybe Mystic Brad has healing powers as well,we should send him to Chadwell to sort Song out 😉

  9. The power of Mystic Brad! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hh1Ido3PIV4
Song will be right as rain in no time lol

  10. Lol,those healers freak me out, weirdos.Well we know where Mystic Brad has disappeard to now,lol

  11. Man Utd just picked up a new defender. Grab Rafael from them and let Carl get paid $loads at goobers from the bench.

    • Surely there is a back player available for a lot less money and agro.I read on C&H that we should get someone with a point to prove.I agree. The Gunners are making this an expensive deal and we don’t have a purchase option.I say look elsewhere and leave Jenkinson at the Emirates.
