Irons confirm four year midfielder deal

|

West Ham have officially told Claret and Hugh what until now was rumoured to be the case – that Tomas Soucek has signed a four year deal.

The deal hadn’t ben made public but we were told tonight by our highly placed insider: “We are doing our business quietly these days but YES, I can inform you officially that is the case.”

There was much speculation the player and his advisers were unhappy and there seemed a strong possibility he could move but he is a player David Moyes really likes and will now be with us long term.

With his pal Vladi Coufal also negotiating a deal it seems certain that he too will be staying with the club until close to possible retirement.

Soucek joined the club on a permanent deal and signed a four-year contract in 2020 when the Hammers  held an option which allowed them to sign Soucek permanently for a fee of £15m as long as they avoided relegation from the Premier League.
