Irons cup game gets the nod

West Ham’s game with Kidderminster Harriers will air on live television, it has been confirmed.

The FA Cup’s official Twitter account revealed the picks for games that will air in the fourth round.

And, having beaten Leeds to get this far, the Irons have been selected, with the fixture against non-league opposition set to air at 12:30pm on Saturday February 5th. The game will be broadcast on BBC One in the UK.

It is one of the biggest mismatches of the round, as Kidderminster are in the Vanarama National League North, and upset Reading to reach this stage of the competition.

They are now the lowest ranked team in the competition and the BBC inevitably see it as a possible shock FA Cup affair – sorry no chance >LOL

The two sides have only ever met once before, playing each other in the FA Cup in 1994, with a Lee Chapman goal giving the Hammers a 1-0 victory.

The other games picked for TV are Manchester United’s clash with Middlesbrough, on the Friday, Spurs’ clash with Brighton later on the Saturday, Liverpool’s game against Cardiff, Nottingham Forest’s clash with Leicester, and Bournemouth’s meeting with Boreham Wood on the Sunday.
