Irons duo face scans

Manu Lanzini and Aaron Cresswell both face precautionary scans today after leaving the field injured during the clash against Everton.

Unlucky Manu – having only just returned – is believed to have suffered a recurrence of  thigh injury he suffered previously.

The midfielder was again in prime form before the injury after only returning against Burnley following a long spell on the sidelines.

And with David Moyes refusing to put a timeframe on Declan Rice’s concern this is another worry for the boss ahead of three crucial games against Brighton, West Brom and Saints with seemingly no immediate midfield options available.

Aaron Cresswell – himself only back from injury over the last couple of games – also left the action with David Moyes claiming that the left back had suffered a dead leg.

However we understand that he too may be sent for a scan to ensure that the injury is no more serious than that.
