According to Will Unwin of The Guardian, West Ham United are reportedly closing in on a late transfer window deal for Galatasaray center-back Victor Nelsson. The Hammers have already made significant signings this summer but are still looking to bolster their squad.

With Kilman and Todibo already in the squad, Nelsson would provide additional depth and competition at the heart of the defence. His signing would also offer a potential replacement for Kurt Zouma, whose future at the club remains uncertain.

West Ham are believed to be negotiating a deal for Nelsson at a fee of around £12 million. This represents a relatively affordable price for a talented defender.

Other Premier League clubs, including Sevilla, Lille, and Bologna, are also interested in signing Nelsson. West Ham will face competition to secure his services.

The Iron’s pursuit of Victor Nelsson demonstrates once again their ambition to build a strong squad for the upcoming season.  If they can successfully negotiate a deal for Nelsson, it would be a positive addition to their squad.

Trevoh Chalobah would be my choice…….and Chelsea would sell him for peanuts right now

We need to offload Zouma’s wages I think we will have to subside &30k -40 a week but still makes room for wages . Do we need another defender , move Aguerd on keep mav , see how he goes . Ings needs to go , that will probably also need subsidised wages but some saving . Cornet needs to be sold , along with Soucek in my opinion he does not fit in the system . Ward Prowse , sell him if we get Soler . Think we need a pacy young striker rather than defender unless it’s LB
